Paisley Society of Model Engineers (PSME)
Since 1972, the Paisley Society of Model Engineers has been based in Barshaw Park, where members maintain and operate a 1,300ft miniature railway track. The track caters for 3½, 5, and 7¼ inch gauge locomotives, and the highlight for many visitors is the chance to enjoy train rides through the park. 🚂
While the railway is the most visible part of what the society does, members share a wide range of engineering interests and projects. PSME’s mission is to provide a space for enthusiasts to meet, share skills, and inspire others to discover model engineering as a rewarding hobby.
👨🔧 Get involved:
Visitors are welcome to come along on summer afternoons to see the trains in action!
Club members usually meet on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, a great time to drop by, chat with the team, and learn more about getting involved.📍 Barshaw Pavilion, Dalmary Drive, Paisley, PA1 3TL
