    RHS Community Garden

    Open to visitors and volunteers:

    Tuesday: 10am – 1pm

    Thursday: 10am – 1pm

    Friday: 10am – 12pm

    Peace Wall Garden:

    Garden is open daily for visitors to enjoy and is maintained by our volunteer team every Saturday from 11am to 1pm.

  • What should I do if a tree branch is hanging or unsafe?

    Please report any tree hazards to Renfrewshire Council’s Environmental Services department. If it's urgent, contact them by phone on 0300 300 0300 or via their website.

  • What groups are involved in looking after the park?

    The park is supported by Friends of Barshaw Park in partnership with Renfrewshire Council, community volunteers, and occasional partner organisations and funders. Find out more here.

  • What do swans eat?

    Please avoid feeding bread, which can be harmful. Safer foods include bird seed, sweetcorn, peas (defrosted), oats, or chopped lettuce. Find out more about the welfare of Swans at RSPCA

  • Can I fish at Barshaw Park Pond?

    No, you cannot fish in Barshaw Park pond as it is against Renfrewshire Council regulations and may disrupt the wildlife, particularly the swans and ducks. Renfrewshire Council parks management rules explicitly prohibit removing any fish, and "No fishing" signs are on display by the pond. Find out more about all things Barshaw park here.
